Just released Version 2.2 of W4M fixes known bugs and improves performance.
- Bug fixes include: 24 bit background background intensity fixed, enabled 32 bit transparency for fixation command, setDtoA command returns correct value plus internal fixes for handling additional data types.
- New and expanded commands: switchMonitior now checks for valid input range, new MSdelay command provides millisecond resolution delays, new voltageRanges command, enhanced integer array processing, and new getPhotometer command for luminance (and color) readings using instruments from Cambridge Research Systems.
- Major enhancement of Sprite commands: Sprite setup is now much more memory efficient. The loading time for sprite temporal tables can be several log units faster, depending on the table structure. The 30 sprite group limit is now unlimited and sprites are now properly constrained to the trial window.

- The two year period of Beta testing has ended. Submit your orders soon so you do not experience an interuption in service.
- Don't forget to submit W4M scripts or online stimulus classes that might be useful to other users. User submitted well documented and useful scripts that we accept for posting on the WEB site earn credits that apply to future account upgrades and renewals. This is one way to reduce the cost of membership and help the WinVis user community at the same time.
- Account credits are also accumulated when you cite use of WinVis in the methods section of published articles. Supply us with the full article citation, once it is published and verified the credits will be applied to your account.

- We have recently released upgrades to the WinVis system.
- Numerous user interface improvements have been made to the WinVis editors.
- The previous release of the calibration utility had several bugs which many of you noted. This new version has corrected those problems along with others that we have discovered.
- The stimulus gallery can now be scanned by stimulus category. The central database has 160 stimulus objects available for you use. The individual user databases contain another 91 stimuli. If you are ready to submit one or more of your stimuli from you user database (or trials or experiments) to the central database please let us know.
- The W4M sample scripts section is now broken into different categories of scripts. The number of available samples is small so please submit for posting any samples you have that might useful to other users just learning how to use the system. We will be working on adding many sample scripts over the next two months.
- We look forward to hearing your comments in the Forums area.
- NOTE: If your WinVis account has expired you can go to the Upgrade page under Account Services to extend your Beta test period. If your account is about to expire you can go to the Renew page under Account Services to extend your Beta test period.
- WARNING: Our license system has changed so when or before you download new software packages (W4M, calibration app?) including stimuli, trials and experiments you will also need to use the new license manager module to re license the software. The license manager is one of the tools on the download page.
